The story
Goals for Kids Connection began with a duffel bag of donated cleats and one question: what happens to the kids who stop coming to school?
The answer, again and again, was the same. It was rarely a lack of ambition. It was a missing textbook, a teacher stretched across eighty students, a family that needed another pair of hands, or simply nowhere safe to be in the afternoon.
Soccer solved a problem no one expected it to. When an event came to town, children came back — and when they came back, we had a chance to put a book in their hands, support their teacher, and give their community a reason to keep the school gates open.
Today that work runs across three connected programmes and is sustained by partnerships on two continents, including the Andover Soccer Association, whose clubs, families and coaches help fund and supply what happens on the ground.

Discipline first
Showing up on time, training with intent, respecting the referee. The habits that win matches are the habits that pass exams.
Local leadership
Every programme is run by coaches and teachers who live in the community. We supply support, not instructions.
Nothing symbolic
Books that get opened. Training that gets used. Pitches that get played on. We measure impact in attendance, not photographs.
